Today is April 30th. I am told it is fur awareness day, or something like that, ummm there are 245 days left in the year, Honolulu, Hawaii became and independent city on this day, Nixon announced resignation of some white house officials involved with Watergate….what else…others born today (many!) but some I know of: Queen Mary II, Eve Arden, Robert Shaw, Kirsten Dunst, Cloris Leachman…it’s Queen’s Day in the Netherlands….I think that’s all I can muster from my brain.

I’ve received gifts all year, in the form of work, experiences, traveling, friends and family. I am fortunate to have lovely and positive people and energy in my life, surrounding me. This week, I did happen to receive an incredible work gift, one that I am terribly excited about…and today I am looking forward to dancing and laughing at rehearsal with my friends. It’s day two of Glee tour rehearsals, and we are getting more excited each day. The music arrangements are new and different, we are singing with a live band. Can’t believe the talent we are working with, and continually surprised by the fact that they haven’t spared any detail. Incredibly elaborate, and exciting.

Thank you mom for having me, on this day. For enduring childbirth which I can only fear what the pain may be like. And for loving and nurturing the girl that is still inside of me. Jason, my little brother bear, you never cease to amaze me. I learn from you. Thank you for always letting me be the ringmaster, you were an amazing lion tamer. 

Today is going to be about simplicity, and I am very excited!
